Weekly Geophysical: 23 August 2013


Summary of report week: USGS is listing 22 events, EMSC is listing 24 events and GFZ Potsdam is listing 25 events. You can view each of these listings below. No active category force storms. 11 volcanoes were in a state of eruption with max 8 actively erupting volcanoes on any one day over and above the 17 always erupting.
Using converted magnitudes (mb to Mw etc) USGS converts to 61 events and EMSC converts to 63 events. Potsdam events cannot normally be converted as the scale is not known.
